This week’s favourite little mix is a minimal number by Sam + Luc Ringeisen.

Every time I go away, I upload a bunch of mixes to my phone and inevitably there will be one that I keep repeating – and this mix by Sam + Luc Ringeisen is that mix.

It tends to be something minimal, that I can enjoy whilst having a beer in the sunshine, but also maybe has a drive that is useful for listening to whilst hiking.

I don’t know who Sam is. I guess she’s involved with Club der Visionaere in Berlin?

Luc Ringeisen is someone who’s been broadly on my radar since some classy releases in the mid 2010’s – notably Beat Design, and Glance At The Other Side Of The Rejected Mirror.

Also worked as a resident at Ibiza Underground, run his own label Vinylclub and seems to play at Club der Visionaere a lot. His minimal credentials are all checked.

The mix takes a little while to get going, but it does properly get into a minimal groove, quite trippy and hypnotic by midway.

There’s a lot of tracks I don’t recognise (well, I do now I’ve repeated it a lot on holiday) and nothing I can pick out by name – no tracklisting either alas. Just a good quality mix. It does get a little darker near the end, which I like.
