This week’s mix comes from Ben Kaczor.

There was a time when you’d discover DJs from big tracks they made, like *shudder* Hot Since 82 (not a particularly good DJ, and not my cup of tea but vaguely remember seeing him in a large gym hall not long after his big track came out).

This is kind of what happened with Ben Kaczor, though in very different musical quality terms (in my opinion, horses for courses and all that dub).

It’s such a stunning track, dubby techno with urgency yet laid back – the kind of thing that Levon Vincent might have made/played in his pomp. So then I listed to some of his mixes, and there are plenty online.

This is probably the pick for me – so far – it stays ambient yet with a pulse. The pick except the mix I featured a couple of months back. I’m rather into Ben Kazcor.

The mix grooves along in a sublime manner, only very slowly growing in urgency towards the halfway mark, having grown through more ambient and dub techno vibes.

This could then lift off into a techno mix, but instead plays some really glorious early morning minimal instead.

Such a good mix from such a good DJ. Enjoyment rating of 8.26.
