Seth Troxler @ Sonus Festival 2017
- Post DateFri Sep 21 2018
It seems a bit obvious to be writing about an omni-present DJ such as Seth Troxler. I try my hardest to look for new music, to share DJ sets with you by DJs that have really impressed me that you probably haven’t heard of.
But I simply really, really like the music that Seth Troxler plays.
This 3 hour set starts off deep and mellow, with the odd snippet of clanging beats. But it doesn’t take too long before it gets to “I need to dance” territory when he plays DJ W!LD’s Larry’s House.
There are lots of classic house sounds, just really good up-lifting yet underground tracks such as the brilliant Where You Are by Brian Harden. It seems as though Seth Troxler has gained an encyclopaedic knowledge of the history of house music, through the decades.
Generally the second half of the mix is a little less interesting, but it is still a damn fine house mix nonetheless.
Enjoyment rating of 7.35.
