It’s time to go Balearic with Paula Tape.

Paula Tape is someone that’s not really been on my radar, though I did listen to her BBC Radio One residency shows – and really quite enjoyed this mix of hers, it is mostly a mix with a little talking over (she does have a nice voice), of more Balearic styles of house music, from back in the days.

There’s a couple of really gorgeous tracks on here, such as Underground Resistance’s Living For The Night, and Stage 28’s Feel The Night. Who knew Underground Resistance made glorious deep Balearic house? Well, I probably should have known that, I’ve just always associated them with techno.

The glory of this mix is quite contrasted to her usual style, which seems to be more pumping house, with a touch of electro and a touch of piano about it – not something which especially interests me.

But this Balearic mix really does. It is a charmer.

Enjoyment rating of 7.43.
