An hour of D’Julz then an hour of Andrey Pushkarev. This kind of show is always going to pique my interest.

D’Julz has a monthly show called HOME DiGGIN’, I think on Rinse France, though I tend to listen on Soundcloud so I’m not entirely sure where it originally comes from.

He has some interesting guests – Traumer, Cassy, Janeret, Franco Cinelli, plus loads I’ve never heard of. But this show with Andrey Pushkarev is one of the most enjoyable for me.

The first hour is D’Julz, an enjoyable hour of house music. However the second hour, whilst initially not especially sonically different to D’Julz’s hour, is where this takes off.

Andrey Pushkarev quite simply plays house music, at least in this mix, with minimalist stylings and bassline-heavy grooves.

Halfway into Andrey Pushkarev’s set, it becomes pretty stripped-back and almost techno-like – you feel like it could verge into a techno mix from there, but actually he goes deep instead.

Classy stuff – one wonders what delights he has in his record collection.
