There’s a chill in the air as autumn descends here in the northern hemisphere, and there’s a chill vibe to this mix from DJ Patrick.

Nope, I’ve zero idea who he is, no Soundcloud, no Resident Advisor profile, just a really cool 3.5 hour mix under the name of DJ Patrick, from Sala Radio.

Nope, I’ve zero idea who Sala Radio are either – but they have a little backlog of lengthy mixes of chilled house vibes on Soundcloud. There is a Sala Radio that is a classical concert hall in Bucharest – I’m going to assume it isn’t that same.

Anyway, this mix by the mysterious DJ Patrick starts chilled, kind of beach house, a bit of r’n’b (don’t worry it doesn’t last long).

Slowly the vibe picks up, and after an hour or so we are into some rather fine deeper house music.

There’s a couple of dodgy mixes in the mix, but there’s also some pretty cool disco too – in fact, the mix then swerves from disco to slow 80’s early pre-house music and Italo – tracks such as Passion from Bata Drum.

Some very cool music, and quite possibly the perfect way to get over a hangover and get prepared for your next night out.
